Orphan Sunday

Corey here...

This Sunday is "Orphan Sunday."  Take me back 2 years ago and I would have had no idea what you were talking about when you told me that "Orphan Sunday" was coming up.  Orphan Sunday is a national day where "thousands of events echo across America and around the globe, all sharing a single goal: that God’s great love for the orphan will find echo in our lives as well." You can find out more about it here...http://orphansunday.org/

So, take a stroll over to that website on Sunday and watch some of their videos (go to the "Resources" tab and then scroll down to the bottom for the videos).  Let your heart break for the orphans and pray for them.  While you're at it, do me a favor and pray for us on that day.  We're not exactly sure when our daughter was/will be born, but if the current estimates are correct, it will probably be around now.  The amount of nutrition that a baby receives in those first few weeks is critical to development - pray that she gets that nutrition.  Pray for a safe and healthy birth for her and for her bio mom.  Oh - and pray that things start speeding up a little bit with the adoption process in Ethiopia.  We have a couple of families that are friends of ours that have been on the waitlist for much over a year (compared to our 6 months) and we know they are aching for that phone call.
