It's been four months since we accepted our referral for our baby girl - and finally, we are getting close to meeting her & bringing her home! Precious friends are planning a baby shower in a few weeks to celebrate the blessing of Ruby Rukiya coming into our family. We have been completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of support, encouragement & prayers we have been showered with over the past 4 years...I can't wait for Ruby to know how much she was wanted, and how many people were fighting to get her home!
As we prepare to travel (hopefully in just a few weeks!), we are planning to take all three of our biological girls, along with my mom, to meet their sister/granddaughter for the first time. We are anticipating lots of incredible moments (and if we're honest, lots of whining...but it will be worth it :))! That means we'll also have extra luggage space to take items to donate to the Transition House where Rukiya now lives, and to the orphanage where she lived before that. There are so many needs, and we are excited to be able to play a small role in helping these precious children & their caretakers!
